TRAINER - CARON WHALEY

Caron started riding at age four and spent her formative years working with and competing on her own horses in the U.K. She also lived and worked in Asia & Australia prior to arriving in the Middle East. In 2005 Caron embarked upon an intensive 2.5yrs of training in the concepts of Monty Roberts and was subsequently hand picked to representative him internationally. At the time of her certification this honour was held by less than 25 individuals worldwide. Monty Roberts, known as the “Man Who Listens to Horses” is an award-winning trainer of championship Thoroughbred & Quarter Horses and creator of the world-renowned equine training system known as Join~Up.

More recently Caron has trained with and been certified by Heather Moffett of Enlightened Equitation. Heather has trained for decades with classical teachers, including Belgian Capt Desi Lorent, a student of Portuguese Maestro, Nuno Oliveira. Nowadays Heather is best known as a remedial teacher of riding and an authority on the Classical Seat and refined aids.

Since coming to the UAE, Caron has been invited to work with horses and their trainers or owners at a number of prestigious stables:

Zabeel Stables - for Satish Seemar, 4 times Champion UAE Trainer. Caron has worked with both remedial Arabian and Thoroughbred starters at Zabeel. She took these youngsters from their first saddle, bridle and rider through to a point where they were ready to commence track work.

Kingdom Stables - for HRH Princess Moneerah Ibrahim Al-Assaf, The Horse Authority, KSA. Caron was invited to run a 3 day workshop to teach a select group of female equestrians how to apply the concepts of Join-Up.

Kind Abdul Aziz Arabian Horse Center - for Ministry of Agriculture, KSA. Caron worked with the trainers and handlers of the breeding stallions. In particular teaching them techniques to more effectively handle various difficult and dangerous stallions that had become a safety concern for the breeding manager.
